From the very beginning acapella vocals present something unique and pleasantly different in concept (compared to all pop songs). Aunty social focuses on subtle, minimalistic inserts of keys and swaying, relaxed bass. Choruses present more vocal-focused parts, with the instrumental climax as the core, then go back to the relaxed refrains once again. Like aunty social says, “This song is a prayer to the 9 to 5 Gods begging them to give me a break”, as she had a hard time trying to reconcile music dreams with being a college dropout and working 9-5 boring jobs. Debut EP The Day My Brain Broke, arrives on the 6th of March via Nettwerk.
