j ember – Bargain Flights

Produced to be a laid-back, summer pop, fuck-the-haters anthem, Bargain Flights jauntily conveys (“Cause you might be aggressive when I’m in need of your presence / Stay clear of the ones who forget your name / Funny how it goes, you change…I stay the same, when we both thought I’d go down the drain”). This exuberant example of pop slackerism emphasizes the need to enjoying life without the fair-weather friends, all accentuated with pop hooks (“Loveless from the start”), continuing to echo to the sound of woozy guitar riffs in the choruses, and acoustic plucking in the refrains.
