JVLY – aporia

Australian wunderkind JVLY delivers the R&B influenced singe aporia, which highlights the debut EP coming in June via Mammal Sounds Records. The reverbish and sultry single trips back pop sensibilities with a hook “I couldn’t have it both ways” – the phrase which envelopes the meaning of aporia, and how JVLY even got this as singe’s name. As artist mentions, the uncertainty is the major soundscape of the upcoming EP, and, “I couldn’t think of the right name for it, I was trying way too hard for ages, and then I saw ‘aporia’ in a book, and I liked the word, it means “an irresolvable internal contradiction.” It seems to sum it up perfectly.
